Topic: How to map Akai MPD32 to VDJ8 sampler ?

Thinking of using my old Akai MPD32 with VDJ8, I think that would be fun to use...
On the VDJ8 side I think I should be ok but I'm not keen on the Akai MPD32 side.
Could anyone show me some basic steps on how to do it on the Akai MPD32 side please.
Thank you
Best Regards,
Richard

P.S. I would like to use the Akai MPD32 (as sampler controller) side by side with Hercules DJ console RMX2 (as deck controller).

Well said HW isn't natively supported, yet. So you'll need to create a definition file, which isn't the easiest thing in the world, hopefully Djdad may pop into this thread to ask for a midiLog.

Strictly speaking he doesn't need to create a definition file.

It's easy enough to map a few sample pads and sliders to control start/stop and volume without requiring anything else.

Thanks for the reply.

I totally forgot how to edit the presets in MPD32, however, I managed to download back the operation manual of MPD32.
So I need to spend some time to read and figure it out.

Thanks again

Best regards,
Richard

Hello DjDad

Thanks for the answer. Have used the mapping test times and also as Akai MPD32 declared but does not seem to work ..
I have to deal with it properly. , ,
Have just my mc4000 where I carry out some modification.
