Topic: Sharing my mixers Midi out.........

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Not sure where this should go but my mixer sends a midi clock out. I want to send that clock out to Resolume so the effects are all in time with the beat.

The problem is, when I have the mixer running with VDJ it doesn't work properly.

The clock gets sent to Resolume but then I can't control VDJ.

I thought we could share a controllers functions with another app??

This is kind of a problem cause I don't really want to tap the beat out all the time. Is there any way around this other then VDJ sending out a clock which it still doesn't.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You could try fronting your mixer with MIDI Yoke.

If not, I have an experimental MIDI clock plugin too that I've been working on. It's not perfect yet though!

Well I was playing with Serato DJ last night and I was able to use my mixers midi clock with Resolume and also use the midi functions with SDJ at the same time.........

So once again its VDJ causing the problem. To me it's VDJ just taking over everything and anything that it sees in it's little beady midi eyes.

One day they'll get it right...........

So I guess the only solution is to use a program other then VDJ.......

No more mediocre, come on. Everything just always seems unfinished with this program.......
