Topic: Controller Issues on Mac

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Trying to install the DJ Dad mapper for the NI Traktor X1 mk2. Put the .xml files in the Mappers and Devices directory. Shows up under FACTORY DEFAULT when I open CONFIG-->CONTROLLERS. Once I close the CONFIG window, software does not respond to controller. When I re-open the CONTROLLERS menu, it says custom mapping, but there are now actions listed.

Having the same problems with the F1. Also, can't a mapper to work for the Novation Dicers. MC6000 works fine so far.

Controllers like the F1, X1 etc that dont offer a vid/pid under MIDI protocol will have an issue with version 8 as it cant rely on drivername in/out and needs a vid/pid. the specific unit (among other NI devices) only offer a "stable" protocol with vid/pid on HID, however we dont own any device at the moment in order to port these controllers on HID protocol, neither Native Instruments provides any information.

Bottom line, we have no solution at the moment
