Topic: Have a question on "Ripping" CDG Karoke Files

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I was wondering, does VDJ have the ripping software installed to rip CDG Karoke music files? Been wanting to ask, since I have some karoke discs..I normally rip music using either NERO or Creative Labs software for my CD's, but mostly use the ITUNES music files that I purchase instead of ripping.

Thanks for your input,
Jeff

VDJ cannot rip and create mp3+g's. There are many options for ripping CDG's, with a range of prices. I choose to use the following freeware
Audiograbber:
http://www.audiograbber.org/
and MP3+GToolz, this one looked like it was going to be rewritten or released as MediaToolz, but that seems to have stalled. You can get it from many download sites such as softpedia
http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tools/CD-DVD-Rip-Other-Tools/MP3-G-Toolz.shtml

Under the CD menu in Audiograbber is the CDG rip tool.
MP3+GToolz is available when you right click on a folder from the file explorer.
