Forum: Wishes and new features - Topic: Show album art on deck or spinner

It would be nice to be able in VDJ to make a skin to show the album art on the deck like the new DJDecks v1 or Serato. Or even better be able to show the album art for a song on the spinner of the deck.

Hell I gained 100 horsepower by adding a whipple super charger sticker on my rear window. I guess I answered my question spend programing time to make the pretty pictures spin so that my djing sounds better!

Slow down with the sarcasm, buddy. In the old days we would sift through records, in crates. You would spot a record that was familiar and remembered the dance floor response when you played it. We use to stick the sleeve in the flight case, sometimes. There is a mental connection between the sleeve artwork and the music itself. It's not a bad thing to be able to mentally connect a picture, with sound. I know we have coverflow, but coverflow can take up too much real estate when you're looking for music.

So yes, it could make your DJing better.

A way to place album art in the skin anywhere, not just in the rotor/spinnerthingie would be great.
A albumart column in de browser would be great too (see the browsing throu argument in the previous post). And not with a min-width (like traktor) so you need either high rows or just see the top half of the image. There should probably be an option for that, as taste differs per person.
