I'm running 6.1.2 on Windows 7 (32bit) and DirectX 11. I'm an old time VJ user and Engineer. However, after several "re-installs" the karaoke plugin still can not locate the d3dx9_33.dll. Should I go back to Directx 9 instead of 11 ? Everything else works as normal.

You dont have to go back to DX9. Just google for the .dll, download it and copy to the proper dir. (Don't remember if it had to be copied to the system_32 or the program dir). Had the same problem some time ago.

DX9 updates will install alongside DX11 fine.

Here is the d3dx9_33.dll : http://www.d3dx9.net/download-missing-d3dx9_33-dll/ and http://dllcentral.com/d3dx9_33.dll/9.18.904.0015/…download it and then extract the downloaded zip file to the system32 folder which is located in windows folder (that is located in your main drive which contains the installed windows)

The best way is to install the latest DirectX runtime updates. That way you get everything you need.
