What version of VDJ are your using exactly ? |
using vdj 6.0 , also put vdj 5.2 on my laptop to see if would be better on a older version of vdj but still does exactly the same as in the pics above . please help :( |
5.2 , never tried timecoded vinyls b4 . wanted to get a hardware mixer (normal mixer) eventually but thought the rmx can be used with timecoded vinyls |
The latest version available for the Rmx LE version is 5.2.2 . However, using timecode will only work for 5 min with this version. If you really want to get a better idea about using Timecode, you should install the latest Trial verison (v6.06), which included all the major improvements that were done regarding timecode since 6.03. From there, you will be able to apply the recommendations from the Wiki: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/TimeCode%20Config.html |

just downloaded 6.06 version and have the same problem , really confused :/ heres the image from version 6.06 , thought it might be the needle but it plays normal records fine - any ideas any1 http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk134/Ryan_Guppy/vdj606.jpg thanks for anymore help |

Did you try to change the timecode vinyl type from the combo box? I have rmx and serato vinyl and vdj 6.0.5 pro and it work fine...but I did only a fast test. Andrea |

Hey there. This may sound crazy, but try putting some extra weight on the needle. The turntable may not be set-up correctly. (balanced) Start the timecode and as you see the line gently push the arm of the table downward as if you are weighting it. See if the image changes as you do this. had a similar issue when putting new needles on the tables once and realized it was simply a weight issue. Doesn't hurt to try. |

thanks for replying , really doing my head in . ive selected the right vinyl type in vdj , tried all different types etc to see any change . ive even just installed vdj 6.06 trial on another laptop and used latest drivers etc and does the same thing . just this \ for a signal . ive added more weight etc nothing changes , . the needles on the 1210 plays normal vinyl fine . so im guessing it must be either rmx , but ive had no probs with anything else on it , or the serato timecode vinyl , but it says 2nd edition etc so im completely lost , im going mad ! |

heres some more pics : http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk134/Ryan_Guppy/P1260813.jpg http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk134/Ryan_Guppy/P1260814.jpg also recorded a little video , when pushing record foward or backwards the music just goes forward http://s279.photobucket.com/albums/kk134/Ryan_Guppy/?action=view¤t=P1260815.flv dont know what to do . |
bought a couple of new stylus to see if that makes any difference waiting for them to arrive :( |
Hey, did you tried to select PHONO instead of Line 1? (on the Hercule RMX) I got no signal until I switch that... |
yeah tried that , its just i only get this \ signal , tried everything . |
just got new stylus , still all same problems :( . dont know what to do not got a clue what the problem is . |
This is strange... I have the Hercule RMX too with TT500 and CV02 Serato Vinyl and its working fine...(with some small issue, but ok for now) I got the circles... I even connected to a normal mixer and its working fine! Its not the needle since its working fine with other vinyl. It doesnt seem to be the connection... Did you see these videos : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp6USvPoZ0k&feature=PlayList&p=4DC26196EE9BCA29&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYW5PaZnhbs&feature=PlayList&p=4DC26196EE9BCA29&index=0 Would it be possible that the serato vinyl is not good? Did you tried the B side? |
yeah ive tried both sides of the vinyl , also watched those vids thats why thought should be pretty straight forward to do it all . my serato vinyls look like they have a different label than most peoples on youtube . but they say second edition on them etc , and vdj reconising them . |
heres some pictures of the serato time coded vinyl im using , noticed that most people on youtube etc have a different label on the vinyl say rane etc also the front sleeve says second edition on them . do i have the correct vinyl ?: http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk134/Ryan_Guppy/P1070082.jpg http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk134/Ryan_Guppy/P1070083.jpg http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk134/Ryan_Guppy/P1070087.jpg |

Hi, I'm not sure if this will help but...I had the same problem, it would play foreward but not backward, I came to find out thru alot of trying diffrent things that RCA leads one is foreward and the other is the backwards, it turns out that 1 of my RCA leads were broken, so in your case if it's not that its maybe your jacks on your rmx , either way its not reading half of your turntable |
yeah looks like its only receiving one side of the audio |
