So run the RMX with my laptop. My setup is pretty basic. Computer, RMX, external hard drive, and sometimes a 2nd moniter or a projector, then I run it straight from the RMX to my Matrix 2000. Well, I was browsing the internet and found a program called AV Voice Changer. Now I run my mic through the RMX. My question is can I use this and be able to change the output of the mic? If anyone, knows, thanks in advance. I am going to try and mess with it, if I can get a chance.

Not sure you can. The mic on the RMX is a channel of that video card and I don't think you can access that directly through software on your lappy. But then again I maybe wrong...

Also the mic quality on the RMX has to be its weakest point. No tone control - sounds pretty naff.

And I wouldn't risk it at your DJ Battle... LOL!!!!

Cheers,

Roy

I agree with mic being the weak point on the RMX. Other then the mic I a really happy with the RMX. I think this is the reason why I am trying to find something that I can use with the mic. But like I said I will try it when I get a chance, and let people know.

Always connect the RMX via an external mixer. Either a traditional DJ mixer and use the RMX in external mixer mode seperating the channels (no need for th onboard crossfader here) or something out of the Behringer XENYX range like the 1204 so you can have the RMX on one channel and have the mic on another.

In fact the XENYX has 100 onboard effects which you can apply to any channel. I used to use this on the mic channel. Pitch changers ranging from Barry White to the Chipmunks, echos, flangers, etc...

So that would give you what you want right?

Also an external mixer gives you the freedom to bring in other devices like an iPod or CD player as a backup in case you ever get a software crash.

Cheers,

Roy
