etc etc

seems Hercules have been sending out their press release ;)

------------------------

NEW YORK, NY – (November 3, 2009) – Hercules, the computer DJ entertainment specialist, unveils the DeeJay Trim 4&6 + Scratch Starter Kit, a timecode DJ mixing kit. This kit is the perfect solution for DJs who want to get started mixing with timecoded records and CDs, and DJs already mixing on their computer who already own vinyl turntables or scratch-capable CD players. Combined with the DeeJay Trim 4&6 audio interface (debuted last summer) this new package will bring your DJing skills to the next level.

The Deejay Trim 4&6 + Scratch Starter Kit

The Deejay Trim 4&6 + Scratch Starter Kit is a complete solution allowing users to mix with timecoded vinyl records and CDs. The Deejay Trim 4&6 audio interface includes the new VirtualDJ® 6 LE Timecode software, along with 2 timecoded vinyl records + 2 timecoded CDs, and a set of cables to connect vinyl turntables and scratch-capable CD players to the audio interface.

The Deejay Trim 4&6 + Scratch starter kit allows DJs to use their analog mixer and 2 vinyl turntables or 2 CD players (featuring jog wheels that can be used for scratching) to control the mixing of music files stored on their computer. The VirtualDJ 6 LE TC software reproduces the actions made by DJs using their vinyl records or CDs, and applies the actions in real time to their digital music files which allows the DJ to control music track and speed playback as well as the position in the track.

The version of VDJ that comes with it, is a limited version, that is for timecode use "only"

For you pro version users, you already have all that, and more :)

So if you already have VDJ, you might just buy the interface alone, and not the kit.

But if you also want the vinyls and CDs, the package is a nice deal :)

The package includes this :

USB audio interface for PC/Mac, with 2 modes:
- 4-channel in/4-channel out; or
- 2-channel in/6-channel out
+ built-in 3 port USB 2.0 hub
+ power adapter

VirtualDJ 6 LE Timecode software
+ 2 timecoded vinyl records
+ 2 timecoded CDs
+ 2 audio cables

The DeeJay Trim 4&6 separately is available for the suggested retail price $249.95 and combined with the Scratch Start Kit will be available starting mid-December, 2009 for the suggested retail price $299.95.

Very good price :)

Hercules has been designing good stuff that usually works very well with VDJ for a long time.

Hopefully this will work as well.
It's a good idea

Nice one Hercules and Atomix!!!!!!

Couple questions... I'm new to this and I'm getting so many differnent answers. Its all too confusing.

I want to use timecode.

I found a deal on some old equipment and I'm not sure how to set it up with timecode. Some people say it's possible, others say it isn't possible. Throw me a bone somebody.

What's the difference between this and something like the Maya 44?

I have Virtual DJ Pro.

I may buy this used setup of (2) Axis 8 cd decks and a Matrix 3 mixer all by Numark.

I'm not a pro dj, I want to learn this and see if it's something that I like.

Does anyone know if it possible to run virtualdj version6 with deejay trim, omni controller by numark (as a mixer), and timecode vinyls. And if so where can i purchase the hardware only for the timecode?
Can you please help!
and thank you in advanced.

from what i know and read on here..the maya 44 is a audio interface as well and works with vdj just as the herc 4 &6 will only differece is that the time code set from herc is a limited version wont be the pro, but you have the pro so its still plus value for you...which will allow you to use with the used set up your looking into getting.

I just bought this very item and i'm having problems with the audio interface communicating with my gateway laptop with windows 7. An error message comes up and says that the interface is not connected after I uploaded the cd with the drivers. I went to Hercules.com and downloaded updates but the same error message keeps on appearing.

If the starter kit is supposed to work with the audio interface how come it will not work with my laptop. I even tried it on a computer that has windows XP pro and it shows the same error message. Does anyone else have this problem and what were your solutions? If the admins or technical support please chime in, I would greatly appreciate all helpful solutions you can provide since this is in part your product.

Thank you, Vince (DJ V-Rod)

i need a help please ....
i bought hercules dj trim 4&6 yesterday. I installed driver as it was mentioned in manual and got my mixer and turntables connected. Now, there is no signal coming from 3/4 output and therefore i can't control deck B in VDj software by timcode-vinyl. Additionally, on the other deck where signal is 100%, the loaded song keeps moving back and forth by itself, even when turntable is stopped.... i'm so screwed. this piece of sh.. worths nothing

anybody has any clue to help me fixing such a problem
cheers
