I'm trying to figure out how to broadcast on VDJ Radio with my CDJ's and external mixer. I used to do it years ago but I don't remember how I had it hooked up.
I now have a NI Audio 4 soundcard. No Midi to control the internal crossfader.
I used to use a ADS Tech Instant music soundcard to play on the radio with timecode but I have NO idea how I had it. That was like 4 or 5 years ago. I still have the ADS Tech Instant Music soundcard. I just have not used it in Many Years.
Thanks Haui, That makes sense but then if I connect from output of mixer to input of laptop, How do I hear what i'm doing? My output goes to my amp. That would bypass the amp and take sound away from me I think.
You listen only to the mix you doing, with your headphones on your mixer or additional pluged PA. Like you do at "normal" work.
If you try to mix or connect by listen to the radio, you loose ;-) Big delay!
Like Johnny always say: When it sounds great on your Headphones or PA, it sounds also good at the stream.
Did your mixer have a output for record? So you can use both, normal output to the amps and the record to the internal Soundcard. Or you buy a cable to splitt.
Hmm, you can also contact Doolow. Do you know him? As far as i know, he mix also in that way.
