Hey every one,

All the video add ons, effects and video transitions that are available for download, say that they are for VDJ version other than 6.

Does that mean if they are used with version 6, there might be a problem? As i tried some and they work, but some might not and i wont notice them until a live gig.

If any one can shed some light it would be great.

always test a plugin before going live that way you know of any problems you might have.

Generally plugins are compatible with the version specified and newer; especially so with video plugins.

well i did test em. but for exemple sonique has so many, but i let it run once for 30 minutes or so.

the reason why im asking. i had my first video show last night. was very successful . For the tracks that i didnt have the video for i would put something on the screen by using the text feature. then i tought i would you sonique. i used it for 2 songs, went back to a video, then loaded sonique again as the song that came on had no video, but the visual was different then the first 2 times, but it crashed vdj. it just said vdj has encountered and error and shut down. im pretty sure it was caused by the sonique visualations, as all night it was flawless.

im gonna try to see if i can duplicate it, if only i can remember what visual it was.

boom!

just tried it on my desktop and it crashed again using sonique. it was like 10 minutes into it. i can assure you the sonique visual that was displayed was different then the one that crashed last night. but at least its a problem with sonique and its confirmed...

i did lie. i never tested sonique with 6.x.x
it was only with 5.2.1
just wont use it with 6.

Hello DJ will,

[Link to unofficial 3rd party site removed]
You can get the d3dx9_37.dll file from the above link.
this is the source which is best for solving this sort of dll related issues.
Click the Link on this page “Run a Free DLL Scan” and it will fix it for you.

Please don't bump already solved old posts.

The best method is to install the ms DirectX runtime.

As above, we would strongly recommend installing the official Microsoft Directx 9c package rather than a DLL from an unofficial 3rd party site which could also install viruses/malware on your computer and/or install out-of-date version(s) of the file(s).

You can download the latest official Microsoft DirectX 9c from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=35
