Ok, my behringer sound board is finaly crapping out on me, so it's time to get a replacement (and this time not another behringer). My first thought was to get the mackie profx12, but nobody will have it in stock until may. So now, I'm looking at a edirol board http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.aspx?ObjectId=860

Has anybody tried this or a similar model? Couple of things I don't like, no xlr outs & no faders, but those things I can deal without. I've never used an Edirol before, but I'm guessing since it's a roland company it should be ok, but what has me really fascinated is it's abilities as a recording interface and the "room acoustics control". If anybody can give me any input it would be greatly appreciated, and if anybody has this particular model I'd be interested to know about it's latency. Thanks;^]

Edirol makes good stuff, no doubt about it.

But its a studio mixer, not sure many DJs here have it :)

If you arent into music productions, you'd be better of finding a DJ mixer...

Thanks for the feedback, this will be for my main soundboard, mainly for karaoke shows. I'd be running my vestax dsm 410 into a stereo channel and then the singer mics to 1 & 2 and of course my mic into channel 3. That's really why I'm looking into this one, I need a new soundboard and a good recording interface for my laptop so I can take my home studio to fellow musicians for collaberation tracks. Looks like a good way to kill two birds with one stone as they say. So if Edirol can be trusted then I think I will go with this one while it's only $300.

hehe, guess I take for granted other DJs being musicians and general studiophiles as I am, though it still kills me when people say "dude your a dj not a musician". Guess 16 years on guitar & 14 on bass get over looked when you're standing in a dj booth..lol. Anyway, enough of my rambling, thanks again;^]
